TERRY COLLINS NAMED WISCONSIN
SUPER LAWYER
LA CROSSE,
Wis. — Local attorney Terence Collins of Johns, Flaherty &
Collins, SC, has been named a Super Lawyer in this year’s issue of
Wisconsin Super Lawyers. The magazine, published by Law &
Politics, recognizes the top 5 percent of attorneys in the
state.
Collins was selected based on surveys of
more than 12,000 actively practicing attorneys in Wisconsin and a
nine-month process wherein Law & Politics independently
researched nominees’ credentials, considering factors such as years
of experience, number of cases handled, verdicts, honors and awards
and pro bono activity.
Board Certified by the National Board of
Trial Advocacy as a Civil Trial Specialist, Collins has litigated
hundreds of cases — ranging from complex business lawsuits to
personal injury and criminal proceedings — in his 30 years of
practice. He also concentrates on estate planning, including wills
and probate.
Collins has been actively involved in
the community throughout his career, serving on many boards such as
Meals on Wheels, UW-L Foundation, Coulee Region RSVP, Heritage
Preservation Commission and the La Crosse Long-Range Planning
Commission. He has also volunteered with the La Crosse County Bar
Association Truancy Mentorship Program and as a coach for Central
High School baseball team. In fall this year, he was named La
Crosse’s 2006 Oktoberfest Festmaster.
Johns, Flaherty & Collins is one of La
Crosse's oldest and most respected law firms. Celebrating 125 years
of practice, the full-service firm offers a team of 14 attorneys
with specialties in corporate, employment, government relations,
health, insurance, estate planning, personal injury and family law.
Together, Johns, Flaherty & Collins attorneys are active in more
than 75 local and national nonprofit and charitable organizations.
