BRIAN WEBER AND JOE VEENSTRA RECOGNIZED IN WISCONSIN SUPER
LAWYERS
LA CROSSE, Wis. — Local attorneys Brian
Weber and Joe Veenstra of Johns, Flaherty & Collins, SC, have been
named "Rising Stars" in this year’s issue of Wisconsin Super
Lawyers. The designation, developed through independent research
by Law & Politics, recognizes the top 2.5 percent of lawyers
in Wisconsin who are 40 or younger or have been in practice ten
years or less.
Weber and Veenstra were selected based
on a survey of approximately 11,000 actively practicing attorneys in
Wisconsin and a nine-month process wherein Law & Politics
independently researched nominees’ credentials, considering factors
such as years of experience, number of cases handled, verdicts,
honors and awards and pro bono activity.
Weber has been practicing law for 12
years, focusing primarily on banking law and litigation, including
personal injury, insurance defense, class actions, criminal defense
and worker’s compensation law. He serves in a variety of
professional and community organizations and was instrumental in
turning the La Crosse County Bar Golf Outing into a charity event
that raises money for Jim’s Grocery Bag Fund to feed hungry children
in the community. He has co-chaired the event since 1996.
Veenstra began practicing law in 1998
and concentrates on litigation — including personal injury,
insurance defense, criminal defense and appeals. He was president of
the La Crosse Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and is
president of the local leadership council for the La Crosse Regional
Office of the Alzheimer's Association of Greater Wisconsin. He also
volunteers on the Board of Review for the City of La Crosse.
Johns, Flaherty & Collins has more
top-rated lawyers than any other La Crosse-based law firm, according
to the Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory. With more than 125 years of
practice, the full-service firm offers a team of 14 attorneys with
concentrations in corporate, employment, government relations,
health, insurance, estate planning, personal injury and family law.
Together, Johns, Flaherty & Collins attorneys are active in more
than 75 local and national nonprofit and charitable organizations.
