Michael is a litigator who represents a wide range of organizations
and individuals in civil lawsuits, appeals and mediations. He joined
Johns, Flaherty & Collins in 1989, following clerkships at the
Wisconsin Department of Justice and the Boardman Law Firm in
Madison, Wis.
He
is a member of our litigation and business/employment groups, with a
concentration in complex litigation involving: commercial litigation, personal injury, insurance
defense and coverage,
professional malpractice, environmental law, product liability law, class
actions, and appeals.
Michael
graduated from the University of Wisconsin–La Crosse before
attending law school. He graduated cum laude in 1989 from the University of
Wisconsin Law School in Madison, Wis., where he today is a frequent
lecturer and on various legal topics and an adjunct professor
teaching oral communications for lawyers.
Michael is admitted to practice in the state of Wisconsin and the
United States District Court for the Western District of Wisconsin
and has received high professional marks within the legal industry.
He is a member of the La Crosse County Bar Association and the State
Bar of Wisconsin.
Like his colleagues at Johns, Flaherty & Collins, Michael volunteers
time and expertise with a number of community organizations and is a
member of the City of La Crosse's Board of Zoning Appeals. Michael,
his wife DeeDee and their daughters Chloe and Madeline engage in a
wide range of recreational activities, making time for movies and
music.
