Brent Smith was named one of Wisconsin’s top attorneys for the 12th year in a row, and Brandon Prinsen was named a Rising Star for the sixth time in the last ten years. Rising Star is a category reserved for top lawyers under the age of 40. Each year, no more than 5 percent of the lawyers in the state receive this honor.

Super Lawyers acknowledges attorneys who practice quality and excellence in their work. Candidates are evaluated on 12 indicators of peer recognition and independent research to evaluate professional achievement. Rising Star is a category reserved for the top 2.5% of lawyers under the age of 40, and no more than 5% of lawyers in Wisconsin receive the Super Lawyer designation.

Smith was recognized for his work in civil litigation and Prinsen for business and corporate law. Smith focuses his practice on employment, insurance defense, real estate, business law, mediation and arbitration. Prinsen concentrates in business/corporate, real estate and estate planning law. Prinsen and Smith are both partners at Johns, Flaherty & Collins.
